Everything’s crazy on the homefront, hence the delay in posting. I am sorry I haven’t updated my blog in a while and I haven’t answered your comments lately. I will slowly get back in the action. In the meantime, I think a lot of us would be interested in this survey.

Actress Christina Applegate has been diagnosed with an early form of breast cancer her rep confirmed Saturday. “Benefitting from early detection through a doctor ordered MRI, the cancer is not life threatening,” the Emmy nominated Samantha Who? star’s rep said in a statement. “Christina is following the recommended treatment of her doctors and will have a full recovery.” Applegate’s mother is a breast cancer survivor.

The “good” thing about celebrities getting sick is that the illness gets some publicity and the public gets some awareness of it, how to prevent or detect it early, and institute steps for their treatment. Unfortunately, though, we still need a lot of research on cancer, not only of the breasts, but cancer in general.
