Any Assisted Living Facilities Here?

My specialty caters to a lot of senior citizens.  The problems that senior citizens face are the fact that they already have a lot of health problems brought about by their age.  So called degenerative diseases have cropped up by this time, and the ravages of an unhealthy lifestyle, if any, would usually show up in the elderly.  Here in the Philippines, the concept of assisted living is still not as widespread as in other countries, mainly because we believe that the elderly should be taken cared of by their children.  While this is true if the elderly is generally healthy, it becomes a bit of a problem when they begin to have special needs, especially health wise.  We simply do not have many facilities for long term senior care and assisted living.

Or maybe there are already some facilities, just not very well known yet.  I haven’t heard of any from my mother’s circle of friends or from the usual advertising venues.  If there are, I wish they would consider assisted living marketing, especially Web marketing for assisted living, because this is the way most people look for information at present.  While traditionally, health professionals and facilities are discouraged from advertising, a little marketing to get the word out about having a much needed service is in order.

My parents retired in the US a few years back. Last year, due to health reasons, my brothers and I decided that it was time to send our folks back home. They can receive better care and they will have a better quality of life than here in the US where they had to wait on my older brother (who already works 60 hours a week) to get home before they could get out…

It was very hard to get a place in Cebu that was one level - no stairs. It was hard to find ones that had doors wide enough for wheelchair access, etc.

Because of this, I made it my mission in life to change this…

I run a Home Medical Equipment company here in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. We are in the final phases of making the first assisted living facility in Cebu based upon the “GreenHouse” project model.

I am so excited and do invite inquiries to this venture. We will have a small facility - 10-14 people per location. All inclusive, accessible living. It is a place where people can come to grow and live like they have never done before.

Our facility will exceed every U.S JCAHO standard - we will set the standard! Medicine have never been this plush before!

For inquiries, send me an email to redeem@directhealth22.com. Our fist home is filling up fast!

Is the option of finding a facility in another country an option? I know it would be difficult to part, but it may be worth considering.

Thanks for writing about this. There’s a mass of solid tech info on the internet. You’ve got a great deal of that info here on your web site. I’m impressed – I try to maintain a couple blogs reasonably live, but it’s a struggle at times. You’ve done a large job with this one. How do you do it?
