Free Book On Mesothelioma
We just observed the ninth anniversary of my father’s passing. He died in year 2000 because of lung cancer (it was the squamous cell type of lung cancer, not pleural mesothelioma especially as he did not have much contact with asbestos). When we realized that it was cancer, the disease was already in its late stages so even with chemotherapy, prognosis was already poor. He battled it out for more than a year, but his body eventually gave out.
That’s why I know that it’s depressing and it’s a long battle for patients with cancer and their families. Yes, it’s not one person’s battle, but a whole’s family struggle.
That’s why I am really interested in a book that deals with patients surviving mesothelioma. Most books and most literature towards diseases like these are scientific and technical and are generally geared towards health care practitioners. A book by patients themselves would help newly diagnosed patients and their families understand about it: mesothelioma prognosis, how it’s diagnosed, the risk factors, what to do, etc.
