Online Meds?
Sometimes I wish there was an easier way to fill our prescription medication. I’ve had patients from the province who have a difficult time buying needed medications from their local drugstores, because the local drugstore just do not have the slower-moving (but still important) medications in stock. What they do is stock up on medications whenever they are here in Manila.
An online pharmacy would greatly benefit such patients, who do not have ready access to the medications they need.
This would also benefit those people who are on medication but have difficulty going out to buy the medications when their stocks run out.
My only concern with this is the propensity of getting medications without prescriptions, which is rampant practice here in our country. I see this all the time, patients self prescribing antibiotics and other medications which are supposed to be prescription only. Perhaps, there may be a system wherein the doctors can send in their prescription to an online pharmacy like http://medstore.biz?
These stores would be a great service, if the system is done properly so that patients may be able to obtain their medications easily but not indiscriminately. These should be well stocked with both branded and RELIABLE generic drugs (I’d have to say that not all generic medications are created equal), so that patients can make a choice on whatever will fit their budget.
